By accessing or downloading data through Leypur, you agree to use the service and the data responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with the licence and access terms attached to each dataset.

1. You are responsible for checking and following the licence, citation requirements, access restrictions, and any special conditions stated for each dataset.
2. If a dataset does not include a clear licence, or if your intended use is not covered by the published terms, you must obtain permission from the relevant rightsholder, depositor, or data provider before using the data.
3. Access to data through Leypur does not transfer intellectual property rights from depositors, authors, contributors, rightsholders, or data providers.
4. Leypur provides repository access without warranty. Data are provided by depositors and data providers, and users are responsible for assessing whether the data are fit for their intended purpose.
5. You must follow any additional terms shown by Leypur or Dataverse before accessing, downloading, or using specific datasets or files.
6. You must keep account credentials, API tokens, and other access methods secure, and must not share them with others unless explicit permission has been granted.
7. You must respect confidentiality, privacy, ethical restrictions, and legal obligations attached to datasets, including information about individuals, households, organisations, sites, or sensitive locations.
8. You must not use data to identify people, households, organisations, or sensitive locations where the data provider has not made that information public or permitted that use.
9. Publications, reports, software, presentations, and other outputs based wholly or partly on Leypur datasets must cite the datasets used and acknowledge the relevant authors, contributors, rightsholders, data providers, and Leypur as repository or publisher where appropriate.
10. You are encouraged to provide Leypur or the relevant dataset contact with bibliographic details for publications and outputs that use Leypur datasets.
11. Leypur may process user account information, access logs, and usage information for authentication, security, service operation, statistics, and repository management.
12. You should report suspected errors, missing metadata, broken files, or other data quality issues to Leypur or the relevant dataset contact.
13. Information you provide to Leypur, including account and contact information, should be accurate and kept up to date.
14. Where appropriate, new datasets, derived datasets, code, documentation, or other outputs created from Leypur data should be shared back through Leypur or another suitable repository with enough documentation for reuse.
15. Misuse of the service, breach of these terms, breach of dataset-specific terms, or unlawful use of data may lead to temporary or permanent loss of access and may be referred to the relevant organisation, depositor, data provider, or authority.
